Our Heritage

AFRICA MISSIONS GLOBAL

Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye is the wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and she has championed many projects, one of which is Africa Missions.

In 1996, Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye visited the mission field in West Africa and came back with a burden to make a positive impact. The summary of her trip was a call to urgent assistance of the missions. This gave birth to the West Committee that focused on assisting all RCCG missions in West Africa sub- regions by ensuring that they have the basic infrastructure with which to function.

In 1997, she paid another visit to Central, East and South Africa and this led to the enlargement of the scope of the committee to include the rest of Africa. The name of the committee was then changed to Africa Missions Committee.

Today, the Africa Missions Organization now called Africa Missions Global is a fully fledged faith-based not- for- profit organization committed to the vision of reaching, restoring and rebuilding lives and communities in Africa and around the world.

Africa Missions Global is also committed to the mission of promoting and spreading the gospel in Africa and around the world.

Africa Missions Global is headquartered in Nigeria and has chapters in Canada, Belgium, Europe, Ireland, North America, and United Kingdom.

AFRICA MISSIONS CANADA

Africa Missions Canada started operations as a chapter of the Africa Missions North America (AMNA) in 2003

Several years later, Canada was given the opportunity to operate independent of North America with responsibility to work in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania and Seychelles. Thus Africa Missions Canada (AMCA) was born.

On January 02, 2013, the RCCG Canada Coordinator – Pastor Femi Olawale- appointed Mrs. Shola Alabi who had been the vice president of the Canada Chapter since the inception to lead the activities of Africa Missions Canada.

She began by putting in place structures which have helped AMCA to achieve unprecedented success in the past three years.

She also encouraged every RCCG Zonal Coordinator to appoint a person with a passion for missions’ work to take charge of AMCA affairs in their zone in order for the work to move forward.

Since inception, AMCA has embarked on projects that have positively impacted the lives of the people of East Africa.

AMCA projects in  Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania and Seychelles are in line with the mandate of the Africa Missions Global’ strategy to harvest souls and offer compassion solutions by presenting the gospel of Matthew 25: 35-40, through brand/trade names.

Through these projects, AMCA has made dreams come true, put smiles on faces of the less privileged and established life-long relationships.
